Crisp cozy comfort best describes our guest rooms with plush pillows, quality linens and private baths. Our third floor suite can accommodate up to four guests with an en suite bathroom. At the end of the day, after you’ve put your horses up for the night, enjoy an evening sunset on the patio. In winter months relax in the family room beside a cozy fireplace. This is a smoke free property.

Long’s Farm offers covered stalls with attached pens and an adjacent tack/feed room available for guests use. Our facility offers a sixty foot round pen with grass footing, a 100×150 foot outdoor arena with superior sand/rubber footing, and a four acre private pasture for guest horses to stretch their travel weary legs. Timothy hay is available for purchase.
Complimentary coffee, tea and breakfast muffins provided each morning. Free WiFi available. Two little tack shops are located within six miles of our farm and a Tractor Supply within 15 miles. While there are no bridle trails from our property, trail riding can be found within a half-hour to 45 minutes drive. Area public bridle trails include Gettysburg National Battle Field Park, Spring Valley Park, Cumberland County Rails to Trails, Codorus State Park, Pinchot State Park, Michaux State Forest Lands, and Quentin Riding Club. We will be happy to provide you with directions to these trails.

Reservations are required:


  • A current (less than 60 days) health certificate and a negative Coggins (less than ten months) are required. These papers must be shown before unloading.
  • Horse owners are responsible for their mounts and for any damage they may cause. Owners must sign a liability waiver prior to unloading.
  • Horse owners are responsible for feeding and grooming their horses. They must provide their own grain.  Long’s Farm will provide hay for purchase upon request.
  • Horse owners must be on site any time their mounts are in the pasture.
  • Horse owners must be on-site if horses are approved for turnout in the pasture.
  • Horses that appear to pose a danger will not be accepted.


For safety reasons, check-in must take place before dark. Horses will not be accepted after dark. Overnight stabling is not offered to horses whose owners wish to camp or stay elsewhere. We do not provide hook-ups for trailers.
